Yes, IT will improve at hospitals, but guess who is going to be paying?

Various IT upgrades in Obamacare are much needed at hospitals in order to save money in the long term. But short term, it’s going to cost a whole lot and that will be passed down: “To meet these various requirements, US hospitals will need to spend approximately $120 billion, at an average cost of $80,000 to $100,000 per bed, for the required project planning, software, hardware, implementation, and training.” (McKinsey Quarterly) More > …
