“It’s simple, really: If Congress intended to institute a waiver process for this particular provision of ObamaCare, they would have included it in the legislation. It seems clear, then, that Congress never intended to award waivers for this provision of the law. In doing so, HHS has overstepped its authority.” (Heritage) More > …

“First, HHS missed the deadline mandated by the new law to create high-risk pools for those who could not obtain health insurance due to chronic illness. Next, it didn’t create the two task forces on improving access to health care in Alaska and breast cancer education on time. The list doesn’t end there…” (Heritage) More > …

Yes, ObamaCare prohibits insurance companies from excluding children with preexisting conditions under any circumstances. This creates the incentive for parents to delay purchasing insurance for their children until they get sick, leaving insurance companies to pick up steep medical costs. (Heritage) More > …

Its the story everyone is missing during the tragedy from Tuscon, the letter sent by 33 Republican governors to Obama: “This Congress should seriously consider the immediate budgetary concerns of the states as well as structural reforms that would improve care for beneficiaries and reduce taxpayer burden in the longer term. In fact, states should also demand greater flexibility from the federal government in terms of eligibility, benefits, cost sharing, and overall administration and management.” (Heritage) More > …

Circulating on Capitol Hill is a draft measure—written by the Senate Democratic majority in backrooms—to fund all the federal government not only through fiscal year (FY) 2011 but also partially into FY 2012. This 183-page plan would handcuff the ability of newly elected Representatives and Senators to de-fund Obamacare! (Heritage) More > …
